Below: Titanic departs Southampton
Fascinated by the Titanic, André has been researching the most famous ship in history for over twenty years and regularly visits sites connected to the doomed liner. He is a frequent visitor to Southampton and has visited Belfast, Cherbourg and Cobh (formerly Queenstown) in the Republic of Ireland, which was Titanic's last port of call.
During his research André became good friends with Millvina Dean who was the youngest and also the last Titanic survivor. Rescued by the SS Carpathia with her mother and older brother at just 9 weeks old, sadly she lost her father in the disaster.
